About Me

My Inspiration

Throughout my life what has always inspired me the most is helping others to believe in themselves and acheive their goals and dreams.

Over the years I have enjoyed several long-standing professional careers including Software Engineer, College Lecturer, Architectural Building Designer and Natural Therapist, with all paths leading me in some way, to my role as a non-denominational Holistic Minister.

No matter what I do, you will always find me assisting in my local community somewhere!  I have volunteered in many roles over the years including: committee member of the Avon Valley Environmental Society; Webmaster and Western Australian representative for the Australasian Straw Bale Building Association; and part-time volunteer Wildlife Carer one day per week at the Chidlow Marsupial Hospital for several years.  Many years ago, I was  honored to be awarded honorary membership of Western Australia’s largest gliding club, Beverley Soaring Society for my contribution to the club, in particular for my voluntary role as designer & developer of daily and overall scoring / leaderboard application software for the Western Australian State Gliding Championships.

I have always built a solid reputation through my genuine caring & dedication to helping others.  It might sound like a cliché, but a near-death experience in 2003, and again in 2010, forced me to re-asses my priorities and purpose in life.   I realised my purpose in life was to inspire and help others.

As a Holistic Minister, I have many roles including Spiritual teacher, facilitating a range of inspiring classes and workshops including meditation, yoga, spiritual & personal development classes, sound & energy therapy and spiritual healing.  I also assist with spiritual counselling as requested from time to time.

I am a SHAI Registered Therapeutic Sound Medicine Practitioner and Approved Training Provider, Yoga Alliance RYT200 registered Yoga & Meditation teacher, and a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader.

I am founder of the annual event “Well-being in the Park”, held in 2018 and 2019 in conjunction with Cork City Council.   A one-day Yoga and Well-being festival in Fitzgerald’s Park Cork City as a fundraiser for Cork’s homeless food kitchen, Cork Penny Dinners.

I am also founder of the “Craft 4 Kindness” project since 2018, where I create and distribute free knitting patterns for those who wish to knit quick-knit winter hats to donate to Cork Penny Dinners.

I am also a musician and enjoy playing keyboards from time to time, in my husbands celtic blues/rock/progressive rock band.

Ceremony & Celebration

My ceremonial role allows me to work with people from all walks of life to assist them to celebrate one of life’s special milestones in a manner they deserve.

With a love of ceremony & celebration, I assist couples and families to celebrate special occasions through the art of ceremony.  I have officiated many hundreds of unique & special ceremonies over the years, each one designed to suit the unique style of the clients and the requirements of the occasion.

From marriage & wedding ceremonies, baby naming, funeral & memorials.  I have also officiated many ceremonies at corporate and community events.  From live music festivals, to corporate leadership training, fundraising events, to cultural and spiritual gatherings.

In 2017 I was honoured to conduct the opening and closing ceremony at Ireland’s sacred Hill of Tara in Co.Meath as part of Ireland’s national summer solstice celebrations.

Each ceremony I create & conduct is an opportunity for me to assist you to celebrate on of life’s most significant events in a manner which is not only relaxed, but also auspicious, meaningful, dignified and memorable for all the right reasons.

I will work with you to create a beautiful ceremony which reflects your own unique style and is meaningful and special to you both.

Your Special Day

If you believe your ceremony should be an important part of your special day, no matter how big or small your ceremony wishes may be, you have found the right place.

If you would like a ceremony as unique as you are, created to suit your own style, please don't hesitate to get in touch so I can answer any questions you might have - and to find out if I am available on your big day.  I would be honoured to work with you!
